A Tokyo-based company by the name of Thanko, famous for creating some of the silliest gadgets in Japan, has announced their release of the world’s smallest HD camera, the MAME-CAM DX. Sounds sexy doesn’t it? Below are close-ups of what the camera looks like front and back.

This 8 megapixel camera weighs about 0.03 lbs and can take pictures AND record videos. Say whatttt! Pictures are saved as JPEGs with 3,264 x 2,448 resolution and videos are recorded in HD as AVIs with 1,280 x 960 resolution at 30fps. All images and videos can be stored on a microSD/SDHC card at 32gb max! Available on Thanko’s website for $99! The website is in Japanese but thanks to Google Translate you can translate the whole site into English (or whatever language you prefer)! You may also contact Geek Stuff 4 U if you don’t live in Japan.

Happy shopping! ^_^
