Singapore Idol Girl Group “Sea☆A” to make debut in Japan!

This is probably one of the hottest news to hit the Japanese and Singapore music industry and also the Anime community as well. We have had rising artist from different countries (mainly Korea) hitting the Japanese music market for  some time but now we have a four girl group straight from Singapore, making their debut in Japan! These girls are from Singapore who loves the Japanese anime culture scene and was chosen to come  together to form the idol group called ‘Sea☆A‘, which from their website stands for “Southeast Asia” ☆ (star) and the ‘A’ stands for “anime”.

According to their site, it was at AFA (Anime Festival Asia) was were these girls were found and chosen to form this new girl group. If you do not know what AFA is, in short, it is one of the largest Anime Festival in Asia that is held annually in Singapore. For more information, click here.

The girls will release their Japanese debut single “DREAM SHOOTER” on August 10th, which was already picked up to become the ending theme for TV Tokyo’s popular anime series, “Card Fight!! Vanguard”. It’ll come in a CD+DVD and CD-only editions; the DVD will include the “DREAM SHOOTER” PV as well as a documentary video on their first arrival to Japan.

What is truly amazing is that all members speak a total of 5 languages: Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, English, Malay and Japanese. Here is a little quick profile on each of the members of Sea☆A.
