It’s McWedding Time!

I’m sure some of you were expecting something like this to become official in the U.S. first but not this time! Starting sometime this month, Hong Kong will be offering McWeddings at three of their McDonald’s restaurants that will allow up to 100 attendees.

The offer will come with varies wedding packages starting at HK$1000 ($129 USD). Packages will include a personalized menu, decorations, McDonald’s-themed gifts, a special apple-pie wedding cake, and a lone french fry in place of the traditional cherry a couple shares prior to kissing. No alcohol is allowed because McDonald’s wants to keep their “family restaurant” reputation but soda and shakes will be served instead.

I’m not gonna lie, this is pretty awesome. This is like a wedding in Las Vegas except you don’t have the alcohol and privacy. Yes, even if you made a reservation to have your wedding at McDonald’s, they will still remain open to the public. How weird is that? People coming to your wedding that you don’t know standing on the sidelines staring at you and chowing down on their Happy Meals, lol!
