It’s A Bean! It’s A Dog! NO! It’s A Mameshiba!

A mame-what? Yeah, that’s what I thought to myself when I first heard of them as well. I didn’t bother wanting to know what they were until they started showing up at some local Hot Topic stores.

So what’s a mameshiba you ask? Well, according to their website, these creatures are not quite a bean, nor a dog but rather a hybrid of both. They love to appear out of nowhere and offer random bits of trivia whether you asked for it or not… O.o I’m sorry, what?! Well, at least these aren’t as creepy as Furbys, right? Anyone remember those? Yeah… nothing makes you sleep better than knowing that there’s a creepy looking furry toy that could talk all on its own whenever it wanted to.
