Do You Have A Story To Tell?

Do you love to write? Do you have a story to tell the world? Well now is your chance!
The Asian American Writers’ Workshop (AAWW) is having their fourth annual short story contest and the grand prize gets a $1,000 cash prize, their story published in Hyphen magazine, AND the honor of short story of the year! Other prizes include a one year subscription to Hyphen magazine and a one year membership to AAWW.
The following will the judges of the Asian American Short Story Contest of 2011:
- Yiyun Li, a 2010 MacArthur Genius Award winner, author of A Thousand Years of Good Prayers and The Vagrants, winner of the gold medal of California Book Award for fiction.
- Porochista Khakpour, the author of Sons and Other Flammable Objects, a New York Times “Editor’s Choice,” Chicago Tribune “Fall’s Best,” and 2007 California Book Award winner.
Contest Instructions
- There will be a $20 entry fee.
- Work must be submitted by May 16, 2011 (postmark deadline)
- Send TWO copies of your work to the following address:
