Tet Festival 2011 – Garden Grove
by Tomo // January 15, 2011 // Events, Festivals // No comments
Here is another Lunar New Year Festival, which is located in Orange County. On this particular festival, it is mainly operated and coordinated by UVSA (the Union of Vietnamese Student Associations) of Southern California, so do not be surprise if you encounter more Vietnamese than you would imagine at this Festival, you will be in the heart of the Vietnamese community in Garden Grove.
There is one main difference with this festival than the others, you will be enclosed in the Garden Grove Park and there is an entrance fee but you get to be entirely immersed with all the foods, music, performances and culture! We usually never miss this festival since we always have someone within our circle that is either performing or attending this festival. Also, it will be UVSA’s 30th annual Tet Festival and word has it that there will be FIREWORKS along with firecrackers for the first time ever! Come out and see for yourself!
