Move over San Francisco! The big three are coming to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on January 13th, of 2012 for the the “K-Pop Power & Beauty in San Francisco” concert. The main attraction will be T-ara but there is no doubt Davichi and Yangpa will definitely rock the house as well. Just in case you do not know who the big three are, here is a little information on all three of the groups.
T-ara is composed of members Jo Boram, Qri, Soyeon, Eunjung, Hyomin, Jiyeon and Hwayoung is managed by major Core Contents Media. Originally a five-member group, they released their first song “Good Person” for the soundtrack of the Korean drama “Cinderella Man” in April 2009. Especially In June 2011, released “Roly Poly” on July 1, 2011. It also preview showed into the Japanese market with a showcase on July 5. The group’s debut single, a remake of their 2009 hit “Bo Peep Bo Peep”, debuted at #1 on the Oricon weekly charts with 49,712 copies sold, the first for a foreign group and an international female artist ever in history.

Davichi is a South Korean duet female group made up of Lee Hae-ri and Kang Min-kyung. Davichi is derived from the Korean word “Dabichi” meaning the light to shine over the world. Debuting in 2008, they won various new artist awards, and released a mini-album in March 2009, with the lead single “8282″ fast becoming a chart-topper. In September 2011, Davichi’s song “Don’t Say Goodbye” from their new mini-album “Love Delight” peaked at number one on the Korean K-Pop Hot 100 billboard chart. The group is currently visiting several Asian countries to promote their singing careers.

Yangpa a.k.a. Lee Eun Jin, is a Korean pop/ballad artist. The “Cinderella” of K-ballads is back at long last. The songstress, who holds a music degree from Berklee School of Music, presents her fifth major work. Titled The Windows of My Soul, this release is her first original album in six years and marks a leap into a new era, one decade after her debut album Yangpa in 1996. After Yangpa completed her studies in Berklee, her music career fell behind due to health issues, but she seems to have overcome all her tribulations now and is ready for a new start.
