Unlike “Ip Man” directed by Wilson Yip which describes him as a legendary martial artist linked to his family. Herman Yau’s film is of him at age 20 struggling with life and love. Fairly good martial arts movie with a good amount of martial arts action, mostly sparing action though. Personally when I was watching this, (I could be totally wrong) I was just extremely confused of the title and the name of the main character. IP Man?! What does that even mean? I really do not have a firm grasp on martial arts history or legends but the title and the name just makes it extremely awkward to me. I tried looking online for some answers but did not really find anything. Although it does not really matter and probably the translation got lost somewhere but I am pretty nit-picky on such details. Overall the movie was fairly decent not really heart pounding action but enough for the average martial artist enthusiast to enjoy.

Kitty Ear Headphones
September 5th, 2010
Whitey Nothing is cuter and more attractive than having kitty ears while walking down a populated street filled with onlookers. Now imagine having kitty ears and not having to listen to the noises of onlooking crowds of people in awe! Well for only 1480 YEN (roughly $17.50) you can have the best of both worlds in WHITE OR BLACK! You can follow the link to Rare Mono Shop but be weary because the website is all in Japanese and I am unsure if they ship internationally to other countries other than Japan. So for all you daring people out there with confidence, buy it! sport it and make it popular for the ones that is too shy to walk around with it. This is actually pretty cute but I am not a girl so I do not have much of an opinion or say.
Akai Ito
September 4th, 2010
Whitey Here is another one of those tear dropping Japanese drama! Although Akai Ito was released back on December 2008, it still one of the best dramas I have seen and would recommend it to anybody. It is based of one of the best-selling novels of 2007 and it revolves around the “red thread of fate.” There are a few tear jerker moments but not as much as one would think. Although there are a few heartfelt moments that really makes this drama one of the best. There are actually two version of this drama, one that was produced by Shochiku, was released on December 20, 2008 in Japan, while Fuji TV aired the television version, Akai Ito on December 6th, 2008. I am unsure which version this is but if someone happens to run into that other one, please let us know. If you are able to read Japanese here is the official website of Akai Ito, http://www.fujitv.co.jp/akai-ito/
Armless Pianist From China’s Got Talent
August 19th, 2010
Whitey I am not a regular person whom watches YouTube but I just recently ran into this video on YouTube that is just exploding in viewers in the past couple of days. I know there are other great talents out there but we’ve already seen that, so now I am giving the highlight to someone else with a disability that is inspiring many people out there in the world. I always have a soft heart for people that think that no matter how difficult the situation is they strive to achieve something in life, even if it not as significant, a little is still a lot. Cheers to everyone that always try to live their life to the fullest and not complaining how difficult life can be, someone out there is probably having it worst.
Kara – Mister Music Video [MV]
August 17th, 2010
Whitey Kara just released another music video, or rather two music videos called Mister. One of them is an official version and the other is the dance version. If you asked me, there is not much of a difference beside the outfit changing and less booty shaking (I think booty whirling). I always seem to like Kara much more than any other Korean girl group out there, its just something about them that makes Kara a little different from Wonder Girls and Girl’s Generation. Maybe the name? or maybe there are just less of them to count. Although they are not as popular as the rest but each member appears to have more of a personality than most (maybe). Just my opinion or random thought, oh yea and I believe the music video is in Japanese.
